QUERY INDEX, GRAPHICAL REPRESENTATION
AND MODELS/CORRELATIONS
In this section, the user will be introduced to different interrogation
procedures through practical examples in trickle bed reactors for an efficient
use of the query index on the integrated databank. A quick summary
on the information available in the query index
should first be exposed. The information is divided into 11 categorized
sections (Fluids,
Operating
conditions, Reactor, Solid,
Liquid,
Gas, Hydrodynamics,
Mass
transfer, Heat transfer,
References).
Then, several elementary inquires on the integrated databank will
be executed for the user to get acquainted with the overall potential of
Multi_R_Designer on this aspect. Graphical representation of the query
results will also be presented through these examples (Case problems
I,
II,
III,
IV
& V). A total of 118 models or correlations
predicting various operating parameters were implemented in Multi_R_Designer.
The procedures surrounding the analysis of the models and correlations
on the integrated databank will be presented in case problems
VI
& VII. Leading to the simulation
section, one case problem on the aspects surrounding simultaneous interrogation
of users
and
integrated databases (VIII)
are presented.
The integrated databank was assembled with the most complete
non-proprietary survey of experimental results for trickle-bed reactors,
which have been published in the literature since 1954. The complete publication
reference list (articles, thesis, private communications) from which
experimental data were extracted is available in Multi_R_Designer. An example
on its use is presented.
