Sub-problem 3.2: Determine the maximum kerosene mass flow rate in order to maintain the flow regime into the low interaction region.

1) Recuperate the diagrams from Conclusion #1 and Conclusion #2 in Sub-problem 3.1

2) Use these diagrams to compare the liquid mass flow rate factor with the flow operation regime.

CONCLUSION:  Based on the diagrams for Morsi's experiments, it should be expected that liquid mass flow rates at 0.5 and 1 kg/m2s will produce a trickle flow (Low interaction) regime in the reactor. Likewise, the liquid mass flow rate up from 5 to 14 kg/m2s should produce pulsing flow (High interaction). Consequently, it should be understood that the transition between trickle and pulsing flow will occur between 1 and 5 kg/m 2s of kerosene flow.
